SPID series sensor is a widely used photo ionization detector (PID), which can detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from very low concentration (10ppb) to high concentration (10000ppm) in a variety of environments. This series of sensors use a high-energy UV lamp (10.6eV) to ionize VOCs molecules, and the resulting ions are converted into electrical signals through the measuring electrode. The high-energy ultraviolet radiation of the UV lamp can ionize most VOCs molecules in the air, but still keep the basic components in the air, such as N2, O2, CO2, H2O, etc., from being ionized. The optical ion gas sensor is very suitable for detecting various volatile organic compounds in the ambient gas, and is not affected by the air. The detection accuracy can reach the ppb level.
